Co Owner of The Asylum and 13th Floor Haunted Houses - Denver CO

Chris Stafford is the Co-Owner of Screamworks Entertainment, LLC producers of The Asylum and 13th Floor Haunted Houses in Denver (http://www.getscared.com).

Chris was bit by the haunting bug at a young age, when at 15 a High School friend called and asked, “Hey, do you want to go scare some people tonight? my brother-in-law and sister own a Haunted House!” 

Since that night many years ago, Chris has been involved in the haunt industry on all levels, from actor, to production, to owner.  It was during his time working at his friend’s family haunted house that he met Warren Conard, who would eventually become his business partner.  In 2002, Chris and Warren left the haunted house they had worked with and started their own venture. 

This venture has grown to become the 2 most successful and highly regarded Halloween Haunted House Attractions in Colorado, The Asylum Haunted House (http://www.asylumdenver.com) and the 13th Floor Haunted House (http://www.13thfloorhauntedhouse.com).

Chris has become an active participant in the haunted house industry, contributing to publications such as, Tourist Attractions and Parks and Hauntworld Magazine. 

He has also been featured with The Asylum on Travel Channel’s America’s Scariest Halloween Attractions. 

Chris lives in Denver with his wife Carla, and their two children Jackson and Jillian (believe it or not they didn’t intentionally name their kids Jack and Jill).  In his free time Chris enjoys long walks on the beach…yeah right, what Chris really enjoys is hearing people scream as the travel through the haunted houses!

Ben Armstrong is the Co-Owner of NETHERWORLD Haunted Attractions in Atlanta GA, producers of the infamous NETHERWORLD Haunted House (www.Fearworld.)

Nationally recognized in the Haunted House business, Ben has given seminars on haunted house design and operation at many Halloween and themed amusement conventions, and has been a featured writer in numerous Haunt related publications.

He has also designed and acted as a consultant on Haunts and other themed events around the nation. He is the former President of the Haunted House Association.

Ben is also well known in Haunt and convention circles as a twisted character actor and appears as many hideous creatures including werewolves, vampires, demons, and a certain mad scientist known as Dr. Speculo.

Dr. Speculo was a Television Horror show Host he portrayed in the Emmy Nominated Tales from Six Feet Under television program that aired on WCTV 6 in Tallahassee Florida in the 90's

Vice President - House of Torment - Austin, TX

Jon, a native to Austin, is a graduate from The Mccombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin and holds a Bachelors of Business Administration.

Before joining the ranks of the House of Torment Haunted House he was an entrepreneur specializing in concert production and event management. 

One year, after a visit to a brand new local haunted house, The House of Torment, Jon was able to meet the Owner and President of the new venture, Daniel McCullough. 

After an insightful discussion Jon quickly realized the potential to grow a successful haunted house business in Austin with Daniel and was offered a position the following day. 

Since then Jon has worked alongside Daniel as the Vice President of the company growing the House of Torment into one of the most successful haunted events in the nation. 

Jon's primary focus at the House of Torment is developing and executing business growth strategies while also having a heavy focus in conceptualizing and implementing marketing strategies, facilitating corporate communications, and establishing long term business to business relationships with strategic partners.
